CICLOTURISMO: DISCOVERING NATURE AND THE SEA AND EXPLORING THE MOST SUGGESTIVE CORNERS OF CAVALLINO TREPORTI BY BIKE

In Cavallino Treporti, the cantilevered cycle path over the lagoon, the most spectacular in Italy

Five kilometers overhanging, suspended over the Pordelio canal between Ca’ Savio and Piazza Cavallino, and three kilometers along the two-lane municipal road called Via Pordelio.

Suspended between the Lagoon, the Adriatic Sea, and the mouth of the Sile River, the municipality of Cavallino Treporti is working on a new 8-kilometer cycle path, to be completed in 3 years, which will connect to the existing cycle path on Via degli Armeni and Lungomare San Felice, up to the Punta Sabbioni Lighthouse. In total, this amounts to 20 kilometers, from the Cavallino bridge to the Lighthouse, as part of the requalification of the lagoon waterfront.

If we mention Cavallino Treporti, what comes to mind? Surely sea, lagoon, beach vacations, sailing... but it doesn't end there. In addition to being a popular seaside resort in the Upper Adriatic, Cavallino is also a privileged destination for cycling enthusiasts: its beautiful and varied landscape, a true timeless natural oasis, is crossed by many convenient cycle paths. All this makes it possible to immerse oneself in evocative bike rides in contact with nature: the best way to explore the territory with its lagoon.

Cavallino Treporti offers incredible views that intertwine between the coast of the sea and the nature of the countryside, interspersed with hidden corners where flora and fauna become wild and unexplored... all to be discovered, for those with explorer eyes.

This itinerary is 32 kilometers long and lasts about 4 hours, the cycle path is interspersed with sections of dirt road. Starting from Piazza S.M. Elisabetta di Cavallino towards Punta Sabbioni, you will come across typical attractions such as: small ancient villages, the Punta Sabbioni Lighthouse, the various agricultural companies located in the area and open to the public, the Pordelio Canal.
